HEAVEN & HELL — the band featuring BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi (guitar), Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums) — will support British metal legends IRON MAIDEN on August 11 at Bergenhus Festning-Koengen in Bergen, Norway.

HEAVEN & HELL singer Ronnie James Dio was recently diagnosed with the early stages of stomach cancer while the band's guitarist, Tony Iommi, underwent stem-cell treatment on an injured hand.

HEAVEN & HELL drummer Vinny Appice underwent surgery on his right shoulder on November 30, 2009 for an injury sustained during the band's last tour. The surgeon expects Vinny to be back behind the kit this spring.

HEAVEN & HELL's debut album, "The Devil You Know", entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 8 with first-week sales of 30,000 units. The band's June 16, 2009 concert at Museumsmeile in Bonn, Germany was professionally filmed by WDR's (German public TV) series "Rockpalast" and was premiered on July 13. In a recent online posting, Ronnie James Dio's wife/manager Wendy Dio revealed that there are plans to release a 30th-anniversary BLACK SABBATH "Heaven And Hell" DVD sometime this year. The package is expected to include brand new interviews that Ronnie, Geezer and Appice gave to Eddie Trunk — co-host of the VH1 Classic television program "That Metal Show" — on January 22, 2010 in Los Angeles, as well other extras.

IRON MAIDEN Completes Recording New Album

British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN have completed the recording process for their new album at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas with producer Kevin Shirley. According to a posting on Kevin's official web site, "There's still work to do, but the band portion is complete and in the can, so to speak."

Shirley previously worked on the last three MAIDEN albums — 2000's "Brave New World", 2003's "Dance of Death" and 2006's "A Matter of Life and Death".

The next IRON MAIDEN album will be the band's fifteenth studio record, and they face a challenge to follow up "A Matter of Life and Death", which was received well critically and saw the group play the whole album on tour.

Speaking at last year's premiere of the band's documentary film "Iron Maiden: Flight 666", guitarist Adrian Smith stated, "There's always a bit of pressure to follow up the last album, in a way it's good because it motivates you.

"We never get complacent; we always try our best for our own sake as much as anything else. As far as pressure for another album, we just do what we do — we've been doing it long enough now, we know what we're doing. [laughs]"

IRON MAIDEN guitarist Janick Gers revealed to BBC News in November that the band was on its way "to Paris for three weeks to work on some new stuff." He added, "The most important thing for a band is to create new music, otherwise you're not valid — you become a parody."

IRON MAIDEN will headline this year's edition of the U.K.'s Sonisphere festival, which will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 and Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Knebworth.

MAIDEN became the first outfit in history to travel round the world in a customized jet during their "Somewhere Back in Time" tour, as detailed in award-winning movie "Flight 666".

The Boeing 757 carried musicians, crew, gear and guests with singer Bruce Dickinson, a qualified airline pilot, at the controls.

Entry kali ni pasal lagu M Nasir yg menjadi tajuk entry kali ini. Aku x la minat sgt M Nasir, dgr gitu2 je la. Tahun 1997, kawan aku sebelum kami fly ke UK nak buat A levels, Megat mmg peminat tegar M Nasir, dia la yg introduce aku kat lagu yg memberi makna mendalam bg aku. Selalu aku suruh dia main lagu ni guna 12 string acoustic dia, mmg sedap dgr dgn suara dia yg best.

Released thn 1992 dlm album Saudagar Mimpi, kalau x silap album solo beliau yg ke 2. Boleh kata semua lagu dlm ni best. All killer and no filler, bak kata Sum 41. hehehe

Aku kat NZ ni penah jam 2 kali dgn org sini, thanks to Dr. Sazali (PhD) yg bawak instruments beliau, lengkap beb, Izhar & Man. Main lagu indon byk, tapi x kisah. Lama x jam rasa best plak dan baru2 ni, aku bawak lagu ni & kami main lagu ni sampai kira ok la. Aku suh wife aku bawak Fender Squier P-bass aku yg kat Malaysia sbb blk cuti dgn anak2, dok berkarat ja kat rumah parents aku, tgk la mcmana boleh ke dak.

Lagu ni kalau hayati betul2 mcm sedih dan rasanya mmg kena kat aku.... Chorus zikirnya mmg masuk...

Semlm tetiba aku teringat dekat 2 lagu ni. Ntah macam mana aku boleh igt pun aku tak pasti. Yang pastinya lagu-lagu ni dendangan band Nightwish dari Finland.

Time Nemo (bukan Finding Nemo, x tau aku awat depa bg tajuk nemo) keluar, album Once. Time tu aku kat Scotland, lepas final medical exam aku 2004, lepak dgn bini before start kerjaya sebagai doctor.

Mmg best album ini, especially lagu Nemo ni. Ni la album pertama yg aku dgr dari Nightwish. Vocals Tarja mmg menusuk kalbu & irama2 rancak, headbanging sedap. Guitar work depa dlm lagu ni mmg terbaik.

Lagu Over the hills plak, lagu cover dari Gary Moore, ala yg popular dgn Still got the blues for you tu... hehehe bg aku cover Nightwish lagi sedap, mungkin sebab aku dgr version Nightwish dulu. Again, guitar work, best!

Aku jumpa tabs utk 2-2 lagu ni dlm Ultimate-Guitar, boleh la main sket2 takat rhythm tapi lead mmg susah la.
